Kalam is a kid from a poor background, studying in a government school. Recently, His mom joined for work in a private school and his dad works as an auto driver. One fine day, he wakes up and gets ready and sees a banner advertising of a private school and the school bus of the school. He gets fascinated looking at them. He reaches the school & comes to know about the new teacher for him. Later in the evening he visits the same private school as his mom works as a sweeper. As his mom had asked him to wait for a while, he visits the campus and admires the infrastructure of the school which includes cost plant, aquarium, play area etc. The very night, he asks his dad to get him a seat in the private school, who replies in the negative. His mom consoles him and makes him sleep. One question in his mind is - “How much is the fees?” He meets a new school teacher, the next day in his school and that teacher kind of gets Kalam’s attention and the students start liking him. He walks back home after school. He gets reminded of the security he saw in that private school. He runs back to the security from the private school, very quickly. He reaches there, gasping for breath and asks the security, “How much is the fees?” He tells that its 30,000. Kalam comes home and thinks - What to do? He suddenly runs to a guy named Selva. Selva is a neighbour who has supportive like a brother. He asks if he can help. He says no. But, Selva seeks help from a Boss and promises to get admission next year. Kalam gets very happy and sleeps happily. He leaves to school next day seeing the board and school van with a smile now. He reaches the school & meets the new teacher. He shares his next year plan. This new teacher makes each day special that everyone inside the school admires him so much. At the end of the week. Kalam meets Selva’s friend & requests to build a playground in his school and to get him a pair of shoes. Finally, the kid walks to his old school with pride in face & winking at the new teacher.
